New Delhi. Womennovator aims at bringing new opportunities for women professionals and entrepreneurs to extend support to them. In this mission, Womennovator organised a program – Womennovator GAIL Vendor Meet to focus on procurement policies for women and opportunities for women entrepreneurs to partner with Maharatna power giant at the GAIL Training Institute (GTI) on 9th August, 2019.
This meet was aimed at introducing three (3) per cent mandatory procurement policy for Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) owned by women said Tripti Shinghal Somani, Founder of Womennovator, who is the Managing Director & CEO – KGS Advisors. She said that this policy has opened tremendous gateways for women owned businesses to work as Vendor with every Central government and public sector undertakings (PSUs).

All the dignitaries had an Interactive Session with the Women Entrepreneurs came to attend and explore the Womennovator GAIL vendor meet. Anil Khaitan (Sr. Vice President, PHD CCI) told that Women are more hard working, meticulous even to the extent of 0.01 per cent. He also added that “Moral and physical courage is something every entrepreneur should have; moral courage to say no when it is needed and physical courage to face any situation in their work.” Archana Gupta, Non Executive Director, KEI Industries Ltd, depicting herself through words and said, “You’re a woman living in a man’s world so think like a man, when in business. Be hard and do not make any emotional decision.”
GAIL representative D.P. Sen has said: “The company has always been a front mover in bringing policies so this time also we will come up with new one’s for women entrepreneurship and in this government policy regarding the procurement in business sector i.e. out of total 25 per cent quantity, five per cent is reserved for MSE owned by SC/ST and three per cent for Women Entrepreneurs.
Founder of Womennovator Tripti Singhal said: “As of now women are getting three per cent procurement policy, we are trying to reach out to women through our influencers of different cities and sectors. In Delhi, there are very less manufacturing sector for women so we are coming up with this so that we can help those budding women entrepreneurs. Women working in any field whether it’s handicrafts or horticulture, we all have to work together to help every other woman in growing and bringing them in main stream. We’ll make sure that women get aware of trade program.”
