Ahmedabad, 1st September 2023: The Anant School for Climate Action (ASCA), AnantU in Ahmedabad, India, announces an extension of the application deadline for the prestigious Anant Fellowship in Built Environment programme. The final round of admissions has been extended to 10th September 2023. This one-year post-graduate programme is designed to inspire thought-leaders & built environment solutionaries through a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary curriculum and a hands-on experiential learning process.
Launched in 2017, the programme has attracted more than 150 Fellows from across 6 continents and over 18 countries. The programme equips students and young practitioners to envision and develop equitable and sustainable solutions within the built environment. The curriculum is a dynamic combination of disciplines such as urban development and sustainability, art and culture, philosophy, social sciences, science and technology, design thinking, gender studies among others.
Over the course of the year, Fellows are challenged with the unique Program – LAP (Live-Action Project) an eight-month experiential track that empowers fellows to identify, research, design and implement a practical solution to a real-life problem in their local communities.
Classroom education at the Anant Fellowship is supplemented by field excursions, guidance from inspiring faculty, and interactions with global experts. Furthermore, the programme has cultivated academic collaborations with esteemed institutions such as the UNESCO Chair on Inclusive Museums and Sustainable Heritage Development, The International Institute for Inclusive Museums, and Pratt Institute. These partnerships enrich the learning experience and furnish fellows with distinctive prospects for international collaboration and exposure.
Eligibility Criteria: Undergraduate degree in any discipline coupled with a commitment to enhancing the built environment.
