For the first time that more than three lakh candidates have qualified for Primary School and Middle School in CTET exam 2018. Also for the first time in CTET history, the CBSE has declared the results in record 25 days after the examination. The 11th edition of the CTET was conducted on December 9, 2018 in twenty languages at more than 2100 centres in 92 cities all over the country.
This year, out of 10,73,545 candidates, 1,78,273 (17 per cent) qualified for primary school teachers i.e., for Class 1 to 5 and out of 8,78,425 candidates, 1,26,968 (15 per cent) cleared the exam for middle school teachers i.e., for Class 6 to 8.
