New Delhi, 27 April 2017: In a one-of-its kind initiative to give a boost to research and development in educational institutions, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi hosted a unique Research Showcase to exhibit the prominent R&D work being carried out at IIIT-D and other premier institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Jodhpur, IIT Guwahati,IISc, NSIT, IGIB, IGDTUW and JIIT.

This Research Showcase brought together industry professionals and academicians from the IIT’s, STMicorelectronics, IBM, Hotstar and Government agencies like Department of Electronics and Information Technology to identify potential areas of collaboration within various institutions.
It is a well-known fact that research and innovation is key to economic and social development of any society. Putting greater emphasis on the importance of research helps improve the critical thinking of students, engineers new ideas, and gives boost to indigenous innovation in the country.

The research accomplishments of scholars at IIIT-D and other premier research institutes were showcased at this event. These exhibits were viewed and discussed by a panel of eminent researchers and faculty from various universities and industry who gave critical insights into each area of study. This collaboration of faculty, , business and industry leaders portrays how research adds value to the community.

Doctoral Symposium, Poster Session, IBM Challenge, , Innovation Challenge, and Technical Quiz were some of the competitions organized to feature the researches undertaken by students and award them for their hard work.

Mr Danish Contractor, Research Scientist, IBM Research India, New Delhi, delivered an inspiring key note speech to the students at the Research Showcase.

First Prize was awarded to Rahul Badhwar (IIT Jodhpur) and Ganesh Bagler (IIIT-D) for their research on Systems Biological Investigations of Brain Networks in the doctoral symposium. In the poster session, Shishir Sharma (IIITD), Subramanyam Venkata (IIITD), Monika Jain (IIITD), Ambuj Mehrish (IIITD) and Sabu Emmanuel won the first prize for their efforts on the Anti-forensic technique for median filtering using L1L2 TV model. Akash Deep Singh (IIITD) and Shobha Sundar Ram (IIITD) were awarded the first prize in the Innovation Challenge for the Simulation of Human Micro-dopplers with the help of a Kinect v2 sensor.

About IIIT Delhi

Established in 2008, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (aka. IIIT-Delhi or IIIT-D) was created as a state university by an Act of Delhi Government (The IIIT Delhi Act, 2007) empowering it to do research and development and grant degrees. Q.Can I download the notes and study material?

Yes, you can access and download the content of the course for the duration. And even have lifetime access to it for any further reference.

Q. What software/tools would be needed for the course and how can I get them?

All the software/tools that you need for the course would be shared with you during the training as and when you need them.

Q. Do I get the certificate in a hard copy?

No, only a soft copy of the certificate will be awarded, which can be downloaded and printed, if required.

Q. I’m unable to make a payment. What to do now?

Q. The payment got deducted, but the updated transaction status is showing “failed”. What to do now?

Due to some technical faults, this can happen. In such a case the amount deducted will be transferred to the bank account in the next 7-10 working days. Normally the bank takes this much time to credit the amount back into your account.

Q. The payment was successful but it still shows ‘Buy Now’ or not showing any videos on my dashboard? What should I do?

At times, there may be a slight delay in your payment reflecting on your EasyShiksha dashboard. However, if the problem is taking longer than 30 minutes, please let us know by writing to us at info@easyshiksha.com from your registered email id, and attach the screenshot of the payment receipt or transaction history. Soon after verification from the backend, we will update the payment status.

Q. What is the refund policy?

If you have enrolled, and are facing any technical problem then you can request a refund. But once the certificate has been generated, we shall not refund that.

Q.Can I just enrol in a single course?

Yes! You surely can. To begin this, just click the course of your interest and fill in the details to enrol. You are ready to learn, once the payment is made. For the same, you earn a certificate too.
