MediSim VR launches labs in Puducherry

MediSim VR launched the first fully automated VR simulation lab in Puducherry Institute of Medical
Sciences (PIMS). This will enhance the traditional training methodologies and provide the institutions
with AI powered competency assessment tools to understand & improve student performance.
The launch was held between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the presence of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of
Puducherry Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and the founders of VR Labs CEO – Sabarish
Chandrasekaran, COO – Dr.Adith Chinnaswamy, and CTO – Jeno Manickam Durairaj.
MediSim VR combines the benefits of Virtual Reality (VR) and simulation technology to deliver
immersive learning. Their patent technology caters to all healthcare professionals to develop
essential skills required for patient care. Their platform includes Skill Training, Virtual Patients &
Situational Training modules. With continued research on Haptics, MediSim VR is also the first Indian
company to be a resident company of Johnson & Johnson Innovation Labs, Boston.
The team at MediSimVR empowered students and faculty members to expand their horizons and
adapt to a new era of learning. The lab was a marvel of cutting edge technology and human
engineering. The students were dazzled by the overall lab experience and were extremely vocal
about embracing new technology, they were eagerness personified as they went through the various
modules that were offered. The faculty was extremely appreciative of the depth and accuracy of the
experience.

This adds yet another feather to MediSimVR’s cap, who already hold the merit of being a
homegrown Medtech company based out of IIT-Madras and Johson & Johnson innovation labs
which is establishing itself as a juggernaut in healthcare education.
