The result of exam held in September-October by the UPSC Civil Service (Union Public Service Commission) is been declared on Thursday. The examination was held for the post of IAS (Indian Administrative Service), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) from the other central services. The official statement says, “On the basis of the results of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2018 held by the Union Public Service Commission from 28th September to 7th October, 2018, the candidates with the under mentioned Roll Numbers have qualified for Personality Test for selection to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).”
The candidates will be required to produce the original certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, community, person with benchmark disability (PwBD), among others, at the time of their personality tests.
The civil services examination is conducted in two successive stages: 1) Preliminary (objective type) for the selection of candidates for the main examination 2) Civil Services (Main) Examination (written and interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts announced.

How to Check the UPSC Civil Service Main Examination 2018 Results:
Step 1. Visit the official page of Union Public Service Commission at upsc.gov.in.
Step 2. Once the page opens, look for the link for ‘Written result (Main)’ on the right corner of the webpage.
Step 3. Click on the link. A new page opens with pdf carrying all the roll numbers of the selected candidates.
Step 4. Download the pdf and keep a print out of it for future reference.
