The word “extracurricular” can be broken down into simpler roots for a literal explanation: “extra” meaning “outside” and “curricular” referring to all of the work you do apart from studying the classroom. It helps in the proper channelization of physical health which children today have forgotten and give the least importance to.

Hence, parents as well as the children should look forward to these activities without neglecting any pitfalls. Considering all factors are important and essential for development of the children.

Try to think of innovative ways to pursue your passion that you can’t necessarily do when tied down with school work. But remember Co-Curricular activities are those which are undertaken side by side with the curricular activities and are neither above nor below them. Attaining this balancing curricular and extracurricular will contribute to the overall personality development and growth of your child.
