New Delhi, 14th November 2018:  As the nation gets together to celebrate the noble occasion of children’s day, there still remains many underprivileged kids who are pushed down in the aisle of harsh industrial employment and are kept away from even the basic education. The number of students in the age group of 6- 14 years not attending the school is not limited to a few but includes around 35 million children. In the wake of this grave situation, where around half of the country’s children- also called the nation’s future are not able to properly read and write, AAP International, a leading NGO situated in Delhi takes the noble initiative of transforming the lives of underprivileged kids with the power of value-based education.

As per the initiative, AAP International is endeavouring to provide relevant and quality education with a good blend of moral values and ethics to all the children, including those hardest to reach. The NGO started its initiative with the urban areas of the national capital and across the Delhi-NCR area and found many children from the poor or from ethnic minority families, children with disabilities and children of low castes who were denied access to even their basic Right to Education. The focus of AAP International is not limited at providing textbook learning only but has opened up the horizons for holistic development of children both mentally and physically.

In addition to providing equal and adequate quality education opportunities to the kids from underprivileged section of the society, AAP International is also involved in several noble and social cause campaigns relating to the welfare of elderly and securing the health & hygiene of all in the society free from all societal biases.

Talking about their ‘Value-based education for all’ initiative, Mahesh Sharma, Chairman of AAP International said, “AAP International is committed to the protection of children’s rights, which include ensuring that every child, regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability or socio-economic status, has access to quality education. But, imparting education with no values won’t bring in sustainable development in the nation as the issues of poverty and discrimination will still prevail.  Only when equal and adequate value-based education opportunities are provided to all in the society, we can develop and empower a poverty-free nation and then the world.”
