Anant National University, Ahmedabad recently conducted an information session at Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication, Adhichini, New Delhi to address student queries on Anant Fellowship, India’s first fellowship for the Built Environment. A number of students attended the session.

The one-year, full-time, residential, post-graduate fellowship has received student applications from over 15 countries within one month of opening its first-ever admissions cycle. Its multidisciplinary, practice-based curriculum has resonated strongly with students and young professionals with almost 500 applications coming in from countries as diverse as UK, Netherlands, Korea, Nigeria, Yemen, Bhutan, Sierra Leone, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, among others.



Speaking about this overwhelming response, Dr. Pramath Raj Sinha, Provost, ANU, said, “We are excited and thrilled by such an enthusiastic response from the student body both domestic and international. We view this as the most significant testimony of our efforts to craft a unique learning experience to empower solutionaries for the Built Environment.”

In addition to a hands-on, solution-oriented curriculum, the Anant Fellowship has curated a stellar line-up of faculty and mentors comprising such names as Rahul Mehrotra, Professor of Urban Planning and Design, Harvard Graduate School of Design; Sameep Padora, AD 50 most influential names in Architecture 2015 and 2016; Rodolphe el-Khoury, Dean, School of Architecture, University of Miami; Amareswar Galla, Chief Curator and International Heritage Advisor, AP Government; Steffen Lehmann, Professor of Sustainable Architecture, University of Portsmouth; O P Agarwal, Former Transport Specialist, World Bank; Indira Parikh, Former Dean, IIM-A and several others.
