Amity University Mumbai Spotlights Women’s Health and Well-being with AIBAS Talk

Amity Institute of Allied and Behavorial Sciences (AIBAS) recently hosted an enlightening session on “Women’s health and healthy living skills” during Innovation Week 2023. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of women’s health and promote healthy lifestyles among women.

The event commenced with an inauguration by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. A. W. Santhosh Kumar, who emphasized the importance of women’s well-being across all age groups.

Keynote Speaker Dr. N.D. S. Naga Seema, an Associate Professor from the Centre for Health Psychology at the University of Hyderabad, Central University, delivered a comprehensive and informative talk on women’s health and well-being.

She discussed the various aspects of health, including physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. She also emphasized the importance of vital life skills that women can develop to ensure a healthy and fulfilling life at any age.

Prof. Dr. Gautam Gawali, the director of AIBAS, underscored the contemporary significance of women ‘s health and shared insights into practical life skills that can empower women in their daily lives.

The event was well-attended, with over 200 people joining in person and an additional 250 participating online to learn more about women’s health and well-being.
