MHRD is focusing on increasing the reading culture in India again with the initiative ‘Padhe Bharat- Badhe Bharat’. This initiative is launched yesterday. It comes under the ‘Samagra Shiksha’ initiative by the MHRD. Under this initiative schools will be granted annual library access for their students. This will increase their coverage are of knowledge. The grant will be given to Primary to Senior Secondary levels and will vary between Rs. 5000 and Rs. 20000.

Some did not liked the idea and are appreciating the initiative as its name is written in Hindi. They are into #BoycottHindi #StopHindiInPosition. On the other hand there are some who are happy with this new initiative.

‘Samagra Shiksha’ is an overarching programme for school education extending from Primary till class 12. The programme was introduced in the Union Budget 2018-19 with the aim to treat school education holistically without segmentation of primary and secondary education.
