Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (RCSS) was the first institution established under the banner of Rajagiri Vidyapeetham. Envisaged as a centre of excellence in the field of higher education, RCSS currently provides high quality education, research, training and consultancy in the area of Social Work, Management, Computer Science and Library Science. RCSS began as the Department of Social Work at Sacred Heart College, Thevara in 1955.

Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (RCSS), Kochi was granted academic autonomy by University Grants Commission, New Delhi on 13th June 2014. Rajagiri, being among the select few academic institutions in Kerala to be conferred autonomous status for the 1st time in the history of the state, is indeed a matter of pride and honor. Attaining autonomous status was the culmination of years of relentless efforts by Rajagirians, the management, staff and students, to embrace excellence in teaching, learning, community service, and research.
RCBS is affiliated and accredited with ACBPS (Accreditation Council for Business), National Board of Accreditation, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), All India Council for Technical Education and Association of Indian Universities. RCBS have high CGPA of 3.7 out of 4 provided by NAAC. Rajagiri has been provisionally accredited by NBA for its MBA & PGDM programmes for two years.
Campus
Each classroom in the campus is well planned and spacious for long run lectures and is aid with latest visual and audio hardware for better presentation. Library at Rajagiri is well stocked with books, national-international magazines, journals, periodicals, research papers, online databases, and CDs. Chavara Hall has a seating capacity of 1300, the hall has been named after Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara. The Centre also has state-of-the-art fully air conditioned auditoriums where seminars, conferences and other events are conducted.
All students of RCBS are provided with accommodation on campus in well-appointed rooms in RCBS hostels. Separate hostel facilities are available for the boys and girls. The hostels have 24 hours internet connectivity, student mess facilities, study halls, television and telephone facilities. State-of-the-art gymnasiums (separate for boys and girls), football/cricket ground, lawn tennis court, volleyball/basketball courts and jogging track are available for all students. Facilities for indoor games like table tennis, caroms and chess are also available.
Courses
The Master of Business Administration is a two year full time programme spread over four semesters and a summer internship. The first semester lays the foundation in fundamentals of management. The second semester lays the foundation in the functional areas of management. The third and fourth semesters focus on in depth knowledge in the areas of specialization.
The Master of Human Resource Management is a two year full time programme spread over four semesters and a summer internship. The first semester lays the foundation in fundamentals of management. The second semester lays the foundation in the functional areas of management. The third and fourth semesters focus on in depth knowledge in Human Resource Management.
The PGDM programme evolved from the need for an innovative academic programme that aims to ignite the passion to excel in students. Business organizations need to constantly stay abreast of the latest strategies and techniques to survive and grow.
Events and Fest
Rajagiri believes in celebrating all the festival and occasions. They are not building just some professionals they are making parts of society. Rajagiri celebrates Onam, Christmas, Diwali and Ramadan in festivals. Crossroad (a farewell event) and Jainitva (an event for parents) are also celebrated here. All these celebration are organized by the FORMS. On other hand Inflore is a management fest that goes for 2 long day comprises of several events.

Rajagiri understand that students need motivation and for students scholarship is a best motivator here. Through Rajagiri Scholarship for Excellence (RiSE), we support and empower students from across the country and from all walks of life to engage in the learning process by providing them with the opportunity to study at a premier institution.
