Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology,Management & Gramothan (SKIT) inspired from the preaching of Swami Keshvanand, was established in the year 2000 byTechnocrats and Managers Society for Advanced Learning.The promoters firmlybelieved in the gospel of educating the rural women folk so that the essence of their learning can be cultivated into their children’s lives to improve the scenario in rural areas. In order to fortify the same, they leaped forward to establish MRM Public School in Nirwana village of Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan in the year 1992.
Pursuing the vision of the Great Saint Swami Keshavanand, who devoted his life for the cause of education and the uplift of the rural folk, the promoters added “Gramothan” to the name of the institute not only to epitomize his vision but also to extend their efforts to explore the use of engineering education for innovations for improving the scenario for the rural community.

The college in its endeavour to promote Extracurricular Activities has got some professional memberships of organizations of repute and runs various clubs in compliance with the norms. The institute has a specially designed a two hour slot in a week for these clubs.There are numerous extra- curricular activities being conducted every week to provide a constructive exposure to our students. There are 21 clubs and the main clubs and professional memberships like IEEE Chapter, Tech-Innova, ASME Student Section, ISTE Chapter, Institute of Engineers (IE) Student Chapter, IETE Student Forum, All India Management Association (AIMA), Renewable Energy Club, Topaz, SKIT Toast Master’s Club, SKIT SAE India Collegiate Club, Pravah and many more to count.
SKIT is running distinctly practical and focused teaching methodologies according to the industry needs evolved through constant interaction with prominent professionals constituting the Industry and Academic Advisory Boards of the institute. In addition to conveying theoretical knowledge, the curriculum emphasizes on the development of analytical proficiency, communication,problem solving skills and team work aptitude.
If one is thinking of pursuing B.Tech from SKIT then one should know their fee structure. For B.Tech, SKIT will charge you 56,000Rs as tuition fee, additional 7500Rs of Caution Money that is refundable. College will change 14000 as the development fees and 2500Rs as university development fees and 1000Rs for registration in college. Also there is charge of 3000Rs. per year for B.Tech branches. So over all it will take 63000 to 81000 depending on the year you are in.
Students of SKIT are expected to attend classes regularly. They are not permitted to write University examination if their attendance falls below 75% in any subject.We expect a student to attend atleast 85% of the classes.

SKIT also have hostel service for boys and girls. Total hostel fees is of 86000Rs that you can pay in 3 installments of 25K, 25K and 36K. In this additional 5K will be deposited as for caution money. All these fee can only be submitted as demand draft in the name of SKIT that is payble at Jaipur.

The aim is to provide a warm atmosphere that encourages free and innovative thinking.Both the boys and girls hostels have well ventilated and air cooled single and double seated rooms.The College Mess provides healthy and hygienic food to hostellers and day scholars (on payment). Prompt medical attention and regular visits by doctors is available. The hostels have geyser facility for the winter season.
