The Delhi School of Communication (DSC) and Medhavi Skills University (MSU) sign an MOU to launch New-Age Industry driven programmes

After studying shared areas of interest in several disciplines, DSC and MSU took the initiative to launch new courses

Celebrating 28 years of successfully running the Post-Graduate Diploma Programme in Integrated Marketing Communication, The Delhi School of Communication (DSC) now launches Under Graduate, Professional Diploma and Certificate Programmes as a Sectoral Partner to Medhavi Skills University (MSU). Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim (MSU) has been established with the passage of The Medhavi Skills University, Sikkim Act 2021 in the Sikkim State Legislative Assembly; which aims to empower youths with industry-relevant programmes for enhanced employability and success.

With this association, DSC has entered the revolutionary field of apprentice-embedded degree programmes, in critical alignment with the new Educational Policy 2020 to address the increasing demand for evolving media and communications,

To spell out the courses they are –

  • BA in Media & Marketing Communication – 3 years 
  • BA in PR & Content Management – 3 years
  • Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing with spl. in Online Media Planning and Buying  – 1 year
  • Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing with spl. in Social Media and Content Marketing – 1 year
  • Certificate in Podcasting – 04 Weeks
  • Certificate in Influencer Marketing – 04 Weeks

The BA in Media & Marketing Communication is designed to give exposure to students in the field of Integrated Marketing Communication and develop leadership traits. The BA in PR & Content Management will help build proficiency in writing, analyzing and planning PR and Content Management strategies and implementation. 

Online Internship with Certification

Both the Professional Diploma programmes aim to empower students with futuristic Digital skills for a successful career in this domain. Students with a natural flair for writing and content creation can opt for the Professional Diploma in Social Media and Content. While students with a strategic and numerical bent of mind can opt for the Professional Diploma in Online Media Planning and Buying. 

The key highlight of all the above courses is the intense industry exposure provided to students.

 As part of the Under Graduate courses, each student will be provided upto 15+ months of industry projects and Internships in a comprehensive 36 months course. As part of the Professional Diploma courses, each student will be provided 6 months of internships in a 1 year programme. At Medhavi Skills University and DSC, the vision is to empower students with professional acumen and the above is a critical integration in this regard.

Professor Ramola Kumar, Dean at DSC noted that since the very beginning when DSC was launched in 1995, the endeavour has been focused on building young minds. “We have seen students who have learnt – unlearnt – relearnt issues and thought processes….and they have gone ahead and performed outstandingly well.  Now, we welcome the students and are sure that their journey will be successful, gearing them up to face industry demands!”
