Mumbai Rains: Holiday for School, College, FYJC Admission Deadline Extended, Re-exam M.Sc. Students

Mumbai witnessing a heavy rain from three consecutive days. This week has also started with the heavy rain and that led to the announcement of holiday, extension in deadline and re-exams. The holiday is for Monday only. The words of this announcement came out at 11.34AM by education minister Vinod Tawde. Alongside this FYJC also extended the admission deadline by one day to Tuesday, 5PM. Originally the deadline was Monday, 5PM.

Dahanu recorded 354 mm rain in the last 24 hours (between 8.30 am Sunday and 8.30am Monday). This is categorised as “extremely heavy rainfall” by the IMD and is the highest rainfall recorded in the country in the last 24 hours.

Incessant rains over the last one week have flooded Mumbai with the Indian Meteorological Department warning of heavy to very heavy rain over the Konkan region and Goa for the next 48 hours. The city is choked with waterlogging in King’s Circle railway station, Suman Nagar, Kajupada, Mulund- Sonapur and Anand Nagar.

At times, there may be a slight delay in your payment reflecting on your EasyShiksha dashboard. However, if the problem is taking longer than 30 minutes, please let us know by writing to us at info@easyshiksha.com from your registered email id, and attach the screenshot of the payment receipt or transaction history. Soon after verification from the backend, we will update the payment status.
