Vivekanand Education Society students win Gold and Bronze Medals at the 12th Asian Acrobatic Gymnastic Championship being held at Kazakhstan.


Mumbai, 29th September 2022: Vivekanand Education Society’s Swami Vivekanand Junior College students have brought nationwide laurels to the institution by bagging Gold & Bronze medals at the 12th Asian Acrobatic Gymnastic Championship being held at Kazakhstan. Team India has won two Golds, two silvers and four bronze medals, of which VES students have won two.

Amongst the winners who have brought this latest set of pride and honour to – VES are Akshata Dhokale and Prashant Gore. Akshata Dhokale -XII C Science won a Gold medal with a routine that scored highest for difficulty and execution. At the same time, there was also an impressive medal-winning performance by Prashant Gore – XII B Science who took – bronze in his world cup debut. The institute is looking forward to welcome their young achievers with a felicitation ceremony upon their return.

Some 650 athletes from 32 nations of the world take part at the Gymnastic championship at Kazakhstan. At the match, gymnasts carry out within the following age classes – 11-12 years outdated, 13-14 years outdated, 15-16 years outdated, and 17 years-21 years outdated. Each Age Group World Competition program contains qualifying rounds and ultimate performances. According to the foundations, one participant can carry out in numerous applications.

The mantra at VES has always been all-round exposure and holistic development, extending beyond basic academics, as the institute believes in honing life skills in students by developing and cultivating a culture of healthy competition, participation, and physical training requirements for its students. Making them ready for the world of work.

Speaking on the wins, Mrs. Radha Narayan, Principal, said “VES is proud to have international medallists like Akshata and Prashant on its team.
